Amanda Blazka and Carmen Rowe join Brown’s Division of Master’s and Professional Programs

The Division of Master’s and Professional Programs is thrilled to welcome two new team members, Amanda Blazka and Carmen Rowe. With their diverse experience and passion for student success, they will play key roles in supporting the academic and professional journeys of Brown’s master’s students.

Brown University’s Division of Master’s and Professional Programs is excited to welcome two new team members who bring a wealth of experience and dedication to supporting the success of master’s students. Amanda Blazka joins as a Career Counselor and Carmen Rowe steps into the role of Program Coordinator, both within the Center for Master's Student Excellence.

As a career counselor, Amanda Blazka is eager to help students navigate the critical transition from academic life to professional careers. She is particularly excited to focus on career services, gaining a deeper understanding of career pathways and industries to better support students as they transition into their careers and achieve success.

With a background in working with higher education institutions, Blazka looks forward to building relationships with students and employers.

Her efforts will focus on connecting students with career opportunities and fostering strong partnerships with employers to ensure students are well-prepared for their professional futures.

Carmen Rowe, as the new Program Coordinator, brings her experience as a former Ph.D. student and her passion for interdisciplinary learning to Brown’s master’s programs. She looks forward to supporting a diverse array of programs, saying, “During my time as a Ph.D. student, I always appreciated and took an interdisciplinary approach in my work.”

Rowe is committed to using evidence-based, data-driven strategies to enhance the student experience, with a focus on tangible outcomes after graduation.
