Nominations

Nominations for Outstanding Academic Accomplishment may be made by Brown University faculty members through UFunds, found under the Graduate Student and Alumni Awards. 

Students in terminal master’s degree programs, executive master’s programs or doctoral students enrolled in a secondary master’s program through the Open Graduate Education program are eligible for nomination.

Requirements

A nomination letter is required, and should include evidence of superior achievement in thesis, projects or research. Examples include published or unpublished papers, essays, research posters, presentations, readings, performances or other works.

Nomination letters should provide detail about how the student’s academic product/project exceeds the quality of excellent work typically expected in the program. The letter should also provide evidence of how the product/project distinguishes or prepares the student for a life of usefulness and reputation. Please furnish a digital copy of the student’s academic product/project, where feasible.

The deadline for nominations is April 1, 2025.
